Q&A: Good Boxing training routine for a 15 year old?

by David Jenyns

Question by Jack M: Good Boxing training routine for a 15 year old?
I already go to a Boxing club, but I want to do some extra stuff at home.

I have a big punch bag, a jump rope, gloves (mits), and some old weights.

What training routine can I do with this stuff? It should consist of the obvious stuff like strength, speed, cardio, etc. Please help 🙂
@Rocker: Lol dude that’s more like a warm up to me 😛 And of course I have to push myself, that’s what Boxing is all about.

push ups 2 sets (15 each)
crunches 2 sets ( 50 each)
jumoing jax 3 sets ( 20 each)
mountain climbs 2 sets (15 each)

it really depends on how many you can do

dont push yourself

For power and speed hit the heavy bag with some weighted gloves. For endurance jump rope for about 15 minutes 5 days a week. Shadow box. And lift weights a little bit not too much because lifting weights is said to slow your punches down. Good Luck.
