@JasonZification its my belief that the people who call MMA gay, homo, cock fighting would get their asses beat if they ever steped into a cage and they know that as well, so they try to play off that they arent afraid by insulting MMA

James toney vs randy couture. Hhmmmm i wonder who won that fight? alha mma is better its been proven time and time again. Paeople dont understand boxing is a part of mma and boxing alone isnt enough to win against a pure martial artist. Theres no argument and this guy is a dumbass. Young white guys??? What a fucking idiot we have the most diverse interacial combative sport

@felixwalker94 No I disagree, a street fight could be your life. Its funny how you think any MA can defeat a boxer no matter what. Its more complex than you probably will ever understand, but if thats your opinion, cool… The BETTER fighter wins, PERIOD. Thats my opinion. Why are you implying that BJJ is more successful than Kajukenbo? They are both great arts to practice. What are your true intentions with that comment?

@papagunz45 wow a street fight is a fight its not a fight to the death im pretty sure if the boxer had a gun yea diffrent story but if an MMA fighter would fight a boxer in a street fight sorry but MMA fighter would win … an BJJ is more successful than Kajukenbo thats why you see a lots of ppl are starting to study it

@EgalitarianJay Well he himself stated he was “retired” and has been inactive for almost a year. His last fight was May 2010 with Mosley. Its April now… He’s retired once before and came back. Maybe he might not understand the meaning of retired, but thats what he stated he was doing. Pacquiao and Mayweather would do amazing numbers. I would love to see it happen.

@felixwalker94 get submitted in a street fight. That person would be putting himself in danger to be stabbed or stomped on. MMA rules Gracie wins, Boxing rules Tyson wins. In a street fight…I gotta go with Tyson again. Street fighters are the ultimate fighters, its do or die no rules, my life or your life. Winner takes all…that simple.

@felixwalker94 I practice Kajukenbo. “perfected street fighting” Are you familiar with it? I don’t practice as much now that I’m older, but MA is a way of life, so I train when I have time. As for Tyson and Gracie, I agree with Tyson taken down a submission would be the only thing waiting for him, but Tyson in a boxing ring would KO Gracie.Tyson and Gracie in a street fight is what I was curious about. In a street fight weapons and fighting more than 1 person is common, I’ve never seen anyone

@papagunz45 Mayweather isn’t retired and has been active. He is a credible American champion. I agree he is boring. But it’s just like I said it’s not the nationality of the fighters it’s the fact that there aren’t many exciting marketable fighters out there in Boxing. If they get more exciting Boxers who they can promote well and the matchups fans want to see happen actually happen Boxing could make a resurgence. The biggest fight they could make in Boxing right now is Mayweather-Pacquiao.

@EgalitarianJay Mayweather is “retired” or in active at the moment, so I didn’t want to include him. He’s a great boxer, but as far as entertaining the general public, who are not avid boxing fans would consider him boring. Everything else you stated is exactly what I was thinking. I agree with you 100%.

@boricuamm707 just because you think that doesnt mean everybody else thinks that. Just look at how amusing the Pettis kick and the Silva kicks were. You are one of those ppl who thinks that everyone believes the same thing as you, when really they don’t. You can do everything in MMA, you can only punch in boxing, which is why MMA is more exciting

@papagunz45 Floyd Mayweather is American. I think the decline of Boxing happened because there haven’t been many exciting Boxers who capture the imagination of the public the way Ali and Tyson did. Also all of the politics that lead to Boxers not fighting each other and questionable decisions has hurt interest in the sport. It also isn’t promoted as well as it could be and there are too many belts. The UFC is doing everything right to make their organization big.

@JasonZification As far as individuals claiming that MMA is “gay” or”homo” are either just ignorant to the sport or misinformed. They are the more complete fighters, but to assume an mma fighter will always win against a boxer is absurd. It all depends on the rules and who’s fighting. Fighters are fighters. It’s about training, discipline and heart. For any fighter boxing or mma, speed, deception, timing, power and adjustments are impotent no matter what art you practice to master.

@JasonZification I agree about boxing losing some thunder. These are different times and things change, but the only reason it seems boxing is declining is because there are no American boxers that are dominating right now. If you ask a little girl in Germany who klitchsko is, I bet she would know. Look at Argentina, Mexico, Philippines, Germany or Puerto Rico just to name a few are heavily into boxing because they have champions right now, once the us has a champion, it will hop back on.

@papagunz45 Boxing will never die….but u wud agree that it has lost the thunder it used to have.Today if u mention Klitchsko it wud be mostly boxing fan who would know him,but if u mention tyson even a little girl would tell u he is a boxer.
Also i don’t see anyone dissing boxing, the worst “dissing” i heard is that an MMA fighter can kick a boxer’s ass and i guess thats true, u admit it urself btw. On the other hand i hear lots of people calling MMA gay, homo, cockfighting etc.THATS DISSING!!

@papagunz45 Also i don’t agree a fight between the 2 under the boxing rules, it doesn’t make sense in fact!!Thats simply because under both rules the boxer can make use of 100% of his skills while under boxing rules the MMA fighter(especially if he is more of a grappler) would be allowed to use only about 10% of his skills!and it wud be like a handicap match! Also the outcome under the boxing rules won’t prove who is the better fighter it wud only prove who is the better boxer.Get my point?

@papagunz45 When u compare a reference MMA fighter against a reference boxer i believe u wana compare which sport is better but ok lets not fight over this. But as i say an MMA fighter doesnt need to prove he is good in boxing just like a quaterback doesn’t need to prove he is better than a world class100m sprinter! I know a lion won’t be able to fight against a gator in water but many people don’t think so!!They strongly believe a boxer can beat an MMA fighter under mma rules.Thats ignorance!

Its funny how some people actually believe that boxing will die as a sport. Boxing has been a sport since 1920. Its not going anywhere. It may take a dip sometimes, but that happens in every sport. Look at football, they might not even play this year. Baseball has been losing fans and do not get me started on Nascar. Thats not even a fucking sport. I like MMA, I practice MA. It deserves its recognition, but if there is nothing to prove ,why diss boxing? Boxing is part of MA. So whats the problem

Respond to this video…
Easy to say were better when it’s under your rules and in your turf. Boxing is the lion and it’s getting tossed in the water to fight an alligator. Where’s the fairness in that? Is that really something brag about?

@JasonZification I wasn’t debating on who’s sport is better, it’s about the fighter, not the the sport that determines who’s better. They are both different, like land and water. A lion maybe king of the jungle, but if it gets into it with a gator or hippo what the fuck you think will happen? The better fighter, who comes prepared in all aspects should win. To make it even they should switch off. 1 rd boxing rules, 2nd rd mma rules, 3rd round anything goes to what they agree on. It’s easy to say
