Any kid of 9 with this kind of hand eye co-ordination has the ability to be BIG,what he’s got is is born in him.In time he will learn all the defensive moves to tidy him up!!
O . O i wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes world champ one day
well said 1gixer06
All i can say is !typical yanks talking out of there asses AGAIN,the kids still learning you asshole! stick to cheerleading yankydoodle.haha!
This kids going to dominate when he’s older ^.^
lol thats awesome
wow!
What a fucking monster o.0
Looks good, but jap not that fast on its own, only good speed when when doing combo’s, doesn’t bring hands back fast enough before throwing more, over rated!
@stockstickzhitman I wouldnt say that exactly, the kid has ability but that is only unique to the fact that most other 9 year olds arent interested in boxing so yes he has an edge, i see the coach not picking up on fundamental mistakes being made in striking, stance and footwork. the kids not bad but i doubt he will be a world champ, hes being taught bad habits that make the difference between being a real contender and being a padder, longer he trains like this the less chance he has of changin
This kid is BEAST!
What a fucking monster o.0
If that kid called me a pussy, I wouldn’t do anything about it.
@ulykedie STFU HATER!!!! He is a beast!
@NextTime4U which world champions have u trained ?
I been boxing for a while now and I can tell you, this type of mittwork is indispensable to the art. It teaches you to think, react, and flow with your movements like no other style of mittwork before it. Just hating and saying it’s only to look pretty is probably coming from someone who doesn’t actually box, or is too stuck in their old school mannerisms to move on and get with the program. I only wish I had the money to come train with a coach like this.
slipping the jab to your left can result in meeting a big right hand while u trying to uppercut,u have to master it ..fight is different than mitts, yea that move is risky and not everybodys cup of coffe.
@TheInventorL in my opinion any age below 50 and above 6 is a good age to start boxing age doesnt matter much as long as your dedicated to it work hard and believe its possible you can achieve whatever you so please and i know that sounds cheesy but its true dont let anyone tell you otherwise hardwork always pays off..
@TheInventorL well it depend if you wanna just get fit then yeah, wanna go to the ufc yeah if your already have a fighting background, but if you wanna turn pro well good luck you wont get to pro till probably 25 at the most
@NextTime4U ur opinion is very interesting, please do us a favor and show how it is applied in sparring. also, i think old skool fighters are over also, the last are James Toney and Hopkins, Toney the best shoulder roll dude and one of my favorite fighters of all time. i know mayweathers never taught him…lol.
IMA AMETURE BOXER TRYING TO GO PRO, AN WATCHING THAT GIRL HIT THE MITTS IS SEXY AINT NOTHING BETTER THAN A GIRL THAN CAN PUNCH LOL GOOD COACH MAN HE REALLY TALKS YOU THROUGH IT DONT LEAVE YOU GUESSING
is 16 a good age to start boxing??
Quality. Great stuff.
I’m really diggin this…I like how you seem to be breaking all the little movements and steps down, and explaining them and their purpose/benefits as you go along…I often do so when training friends/family…helps out alot…and besides that you’ve got some pretty grand routines…
lookin forward to more..
;Gray
Nice videos. I never get tired of watching or hearing fighters hit the mitts.
@REGGIESILK it actually depends on the promoters and the fighters most fighters like 10 ounces but the smaller weights like the 8 oz gloves its all politcs
It’s kinda hard to learn from these videos when your’e a southpaw. Coach, can you teach southpaw?
is that what he called training no power at all .. hail freddie roch
YOU ROCK.
Simply cool and interesting to learn and watch.
lol , the pad holder is almost doing more work than the puncher.
turn your hands over
Thanks Coach Rick
The three disc series covers the technical aspects of the shoulder roll and includes an entire Roger / Floyd Jr. Pad work routine, as well as several mitt work patterns used by Joan Guzman. The blocks and rolls that are explained and broken down in here are derived from the philly shell which Floyd Sr. taught to Floyd Jr. which is utilized when he does pad work with Roger so I explain that in detail. I will be coming out in the future with DVDs that cover footwork and other boxing techniques.
Peace Fam,
Does the two discs included slipping (philly shell) drills and footwork also or are those skill sets covered
on another series?
@tysonkayla35 its the way forward.. stop living in the past.. i think this style of training is more focus making you think more.. awareness.. defence.. you say stop doing this!! because mayweather has the skills!! what gave him these skill.. this type of pad work!!!
@REGGIESILK , Cheers From the States, New Jersey in particular my brother!! To answer your question, I am pretty sure most states in the USA except Nevada, use 10oz gloves for weight classes at welterweight or above..
Hey Coach Rick!, Since you have been involved with boxing for many years I was just wondering if you know whether or not the pro fighters today still use 8 ounce gloves in their bouts or is it only 10 ounce.Cheers from Australia!!
@NextTime4U Great job….I am from Croatia and I train boxing.I will agree with you when you say that Mayweather has started a new era in boxing.Just look on FMJR.score….Keep up the good work and who knows maybe one day we will work together…All of you guys talking here this is shit..this doesn t work…all of you talk that way is because….you think that you know something but……………..
@tysonkayla35 I appreciate your comment,, but the “Old Skool” way of training fighters is over,,, what Roger Mayweather has done with his mittwork is revolutionize the way fighters should be trained from the start.. I teach this system because it works,, I have trained novice boxers, accomplished amateurs, top ranked pro’s and several world champions with this system and some of the new things I have added to it, and the bottom line is, they keep sending more fighters to me to train,, it works..
