Really enjoyed this video, the body shots looked painful. Never realized the hooks had to be held to high too, thanks a lot!

@RobFight i’m right handed and i’m southpaw only reason is my left has way more power then my right is there any way to fix this?

Reply

RobFight January 21, 2011 at 8:18 am

@lvlitzi Neither is better, the stance is generally determined by having the power hand at the rear. Hence most fighters are orthodox as they are right handed, so they have their left hand infront for quick punches and then right hand back for power. Same thing in reverse for southpaw, as left handed fighters will have their power hand at the rear.

lvlitzi January 21, 2011 at 8:27 am

Whats better Orthodox or South paw?

@Lee94503 This is Very true ive done boxing for a few years now. and there is alot more then just your arms in jabbing aswell as any kind of punch. twisting your hips, stepping on your punches, following through with your shoulders etc. plus hes swinging when he punches.

@banis1993 when you punch a jab and a right straight

Reply

banis1993 January 21, 2011 at 11:08 am

shouldn´t you punch so that your arm is straight, not hooky like that?

Lee94503 January 21, 2011 at 12:35 pm

One thing though… He’s not showing or talking about the footwork, needed to properly throw these punches. He only show the upper body portion of the punching.

@ThaWomanizer A MMA fighter would kick a boxers as in a MMA competition because that is what they’ve trained intensively in. Are you saying a MMA fighter who has trained mainly in grappling and kicks would own a boxer in a BOXING match?

ThaWomanizer January 21, 2011 at 4:11 pm

Dude at the end of the day dude the a top MMA fighter would kick any boxers ass in a real fight or in a cage dude the only place a boxer can riegn is in the ring dude. Otherwise he is dead meat for a UFC fighter dude. And as for mayweather training Hard dude LMFAO his training aint nuttin dude compared to cain velanquez, Brock Lesnar, Randy Cotoure, BJ Penn, Anderson Silva, wanderlei Silva, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson etc. Dude.
