About Me

“Here’s myself, back in form after all these years…”

Hi, my name is Jimmy Cox and I have been boxing since I was a 14 years old. Since I’m not Muhammad Ali I thought I’d share my story. Truth is, really believe I could have made it to the pros if not for a devastating knee injury caused by a silly bicycle accident.

After the accident, I actually gave away all my dreams of becoming a pro, I even stopped my boxing training routines completely for a good number years. It’s a sad story I know but, at the time, I decided I’d never jump back in the ring.

Boxing was my life and without it I found I quickly grew out of shape. If you had seen some before and after photos it would have made you sick. I had flab growing in places where muscle once was. I felt tired and lethargic and within 24 months I was a shadow of my former self.

I was out of shape. I felt it, and I looked like it.

While I was just about to hit rock bottom a good friend passed on a book that turned it all around. That book was John J. Walsh’s book; Boxing Made Easy: Complete Guide To Training & Fitness.

Written by an award winning boxing coach, this was the perfect book for me. I knew the basics sure, but after a couple of years of trying to forget it, well, I was a little rusty and this book helped me get back on track with boxing training routines.

Now I don’t box professionally yet, but I do spar – and even with my bum knee, I have to say, with all the tips and techniques I learned from the book, well, I hold my own quite nicely thank you very much 🙂 And who knows within the next few years, I could very well be on my way to going pro.

The fact is, the book was such a huge help to me (it pretty much dug me out of the hole I was in) I contacted the copyright owner and purchased the rights to the book, so that I can help you become a boxing expert as well.

I hope you get as much from it as I did. Maybe even more…
