Exercise bikes are great pieces of equipment because they are able to work your legs, heart, and lungs, and all without putting any unnecessary stress on your joints. In fact, they have always been the most popular pieces of cardiovascular exercise equipment, and this is primarily due to the fact that the exercise motion with these is very similar to that of on a regular bike, making it incredibly easy for generally all people.

Due to the multitude of exercise bikes that are available, people often find it rather difficult simply trying to decide on which bike to choose. For instance, most people tend to like the recumbent exercise bike because of the comfort involved, and because they are incredibly easy to use, and this is especially true for those people who have some form of back pain, or for those who are new to exercise altogether, for instance.

However in regards to the upright exercise bikes, these allow for much more movement, for instance you are able to ride while standing in an upright position on these, something that you cannot do on a recumbent exercise bike.

Again, basically overall most reviewers will agree that choosing between these two bikes, for instance, is more a matter of personal comfort than for health benefit, because both have about the same amount of advantages and such, but the premise and features of each bike are different, and so you should go with the one that you feel more comfortable with; for instance, if you suffer from any kind of back pain, you may want to go with the recumbent exercise bike simply for more ease and comfort.
